THE CHINA SCHOOL 2026 “China’s Hi-Tech Rise: Catching Up amid Competition and Cooperation”
Milan-Shanghai-Shenzhen, 14-28 July 2026

The Research Center on Contemporary China (CSCC) and the Graduate School of Management of the Polytechnic University of Milan are proud to present the seventh edition of The China School, an exclusive program designed to explore China’s Hi-Tech Rise: Catching Up amid Competition and Cooperation. Building on the success of previous editions, The China School 2026 offers a unique blend
of academic excellence and immersive field experience, tailored for university students and young professionals eager to understand the dynamics of China’s technological transformation.

Part I – Milan (14–16 July 2026)
The program begins at Bovisa Campus, Milan Polytechnic University, with 15 hours of high-level lectures delivered by distinguished scholars and experts from leading international institutions such as Chatham House, the University of Duisburg-Essen, and Institut Montaigne. These sessions will provide a rigorous analytical framework to understand China’s technological ascent and its global economic implications. 

Part II – China (18–28 July 2026)
The second stage unfolds in China, offering participants first-hand exposure to the country’s innovation ecosystem. The journey will focus on Shanghai and Shenzhen, two cities that symbolize China’s rapid rise in high-tech industries. Participants will:

• Visit leading Chinese and international corporations, gaining direct insights into cutting-edge technologies and business strategies;
• Engage in exclusive talks with Chinese researchers and academics, deepening their understanding of local innovation and policy frameworks;
