5X社区at the 2026 UK PSA Annual Conference in Oxford

5X社区was present at the , held in Oxford from 30 March to 1 April 2026 under the theme Political Studies Futures.
As part of the program, 5X社区organized a roundtable discussion on academic freedom, chaired by 5X社区Executive Committee member Indrajit Roy, who also serves as Chair of the 5X社区Committee on Academic Freedom and Ethics. Among the distinguished scholars taking part in the roundtable were Maya Tudor (University of Oxford), Bu臒ra G眉ng枚r (American University of Central Asia), Amna Kaleem (University of Sheffield), and Manjeet Ramgotra (SOAS University of London).
Prof. Roy opened the session by introducing IPSA, thanking PSA UK for co-convening the roundtable, and presenting the 5X社区Guidelines on Academic Freedom Protection Procedures.
The discussion focused on two thematic rounds. In the first round, panelists addressed the question 鈥淲hat are the major issues around academic freedom from the panelists鈥 perspective?鈥 In the second round, panelists turned their attention to how these challenges are being addressed. The discussion was followed by a Q&A session with active audience participation.
