This panel proposes a critical understanding of power, questioning the very concept itself as a moniker for influence and capacity. For example, the transformation of weakness into power is a theme that runs through the history of literature. A number of the great classics of fiction prominently feature this theme in their story lines, often being manifest in major protagonists. Alternatively, another prevalent theme is how power can be a source of enervationa and destruction. The papers in this panel will explore such possibilities of pwer reversal.
